Erosion Studios

Introduction:

Hi, my name is Matt Heard, I'm the owner and manager for Erosion Studios. I have been doing photography for over two years, during this time I have dreamed of starting and owning a small photography business. Through lots of hard work and blessings from above, I have been able to create a small business. I origionaly started out with Morning Star Photo Studio; this was later changed to Erosion Studios!

The Business:

Based out of South Langley, BC; Erosion Studios has done fairly well for itself considering the lack of public recognition. However, through my first customers, I have been hired for several major events; including two weddings, grad photos, and family portraits. The weddings, being stressfull and difficult to plan for turned out great with wonderful outcomes for my clients and myself. Through these shoots I learned new things that I am applying to casual photography as well. Until I am able to create a full flowing business, advertizing will always be a little slow and far between, but it does alright for itself. I do studio shoots in my mom's dance studio in the downstairs of our house, using ceiling lights for lighting which allows for great skin tones and setting for the photos. I am hoping that this site will be a form of advertizing for Erosion Studios

The Work and Erosion Studios:

Over the years that I have been a 'shutter-freak' I have collected and piled countless photos from Langley, Vancouver, Whiterock, and even an exotic southern island. These photos are what we call "Stock Photos"; now, stock photos are available to the public for purchase. I keep an album with all my best photos for requested viewings. In the future I plan to have a secure site that allows me to show photos without the risk of people copy/pasting my work. Until then stock photos can only be viewed from the album. In the area of hiring and studio shoots, I will set up the studio with a simple light blue/white tie-dye background, or a client may request a chosen area for the photos to be taken (this may be difficult at times as I have no transportation at the moment).
